Inspirational Sunday: Learning to Disconnect
From the world, from your responsibilities, from your full-time job, from the jobs or titles you work on without pay, from social media, from people and from the constant occupation you expose your mind to; from all of these you need to know when to disconnect. You read very well, from all of it and not because it is a ‘’cliché’’ you need to announce it to the entire world. This is just as a simple therapeutic act that will deeply involve self-love, that love that only you can gift yourself with. This is needed to calm your agitated mind and to be able to cultivate inner peace, it is only fair and necessary.
If you want, you can announce it to those whom live with you but for the rest of the world this is a personal decision with no need for any explanations. First things first, this is not about being selfish but there are times where you mind and body only need to eat, to sleep, to read a book in silence, to pray or even to connect with nature. This way you will be recharging and there is nothing wrong with it. In fact, you owe it to yourself. Prioritize your mental and physical health.
Don’t feel guilty and disconnect so you might be able to re-connect again with even more energy and clear vision. A more peaceful and refreshed lifestyle will come out of it.
